You’ve Mastered the Visible Game

This is the Deeper One

You've done the work. You know the game, developed your craft, and built real relationships with your athletes and staff.

And you can still feel something sitting just on the edge of awareness. Something you can't quite name. A gap between the coach you are and the coach you know you're capable of being.

You know these moments:

  • Over-coaching when you should step back.

  • Tension on the sideline that travels straight to your athletes.

  • Halftime talks that don’t land.

  • Hard conversations that keep getting avoided.

  • Athletes looking to you for answers instead of finding them for themselves.

  • Always on. Never quite free.

You're not here because you don't know what great coaching looks like. You're here because knowing it and living it consistently are two different things, and the gap between them is costing you and your team.

The Foundations of Great Coaching

The demands of the season don’t leave a lot of room to look underneath the surface. There's always a game to break down, another practice to plan, and another conversation that needs your attention. The deeper work gets deferred. Not because you don't care, but because the season never stops long enough to create the space for it.

Most coaches get stuck at the top of this pyramid.

The interactions of leadership are real and they matter. How you communicate, motivate, and develop your athletes is the tip of the iceberg and what your athletes feel most reliably.

But interactions sit on top of actions. And actions sit on top of being. The foundation of your leadership infuses everything above it. How your communication lands. Whether your actions consistently reflect your values. How freely you can bring your full self into the moments that matter most.

When the foundation is underdeveloped, the top layers become a performance. You can be doing the right things without the integrity to support it. It works… until the pressure is high enough that it doesn't.

This program builds from the base up. It's the work most coaches never get the support or the space to do, and it ripples out to impact everything.

The Deeper Game of Coaching

Elevate Your Leadership. Elevate the Team.

A 12-week coaching development program for coaches who are ready to build from the base up.

Most coaching development programs work at the level of what you do. More frameworks, more models, more techniques to apply. Those are necessary, and not sufficient.

This program works at the level of who you are when you're doing them.

I've spent 15 years inside elite performance environments. Three of those years were embedded with the Chicago Blackhawks as their mental performance coach. Every practice. Every game. There to support the whole grind.

That experience is backed by a PhD in Sport and Exercise Psychology and the CMPC, the highest credential in the field. The science and the lived reality, together.

I'm not here to tell you how to coach.

I'm here to help you reinforce your leadership foundation and discover what's been getting in the way of coaching with power and integrity from the off-season to the post-season.

Twelve Weeks. Four Phases. One Foundation

Expand each phase to explore the full curriculum

  • Week 1: Introductions and Coaching Philosophy

Week 2: Values and Character Strengths

Week 3: Coaching and the Nervous System

Week 4: Decision Making and Rethinking

We start by establishing the foundation that everything else will build on. You'll anchor yourself in your core values and witness firsthand how the nervous system influences your capacity to show up more fully yourself.

By the end of week four, you'll have a clearer picture of who you want to be as a coach, and what’s been getting in the way.

  • Week 5: Motivation and Autonomy

    Week 6: Communication and Feedback

Week 7: Psychological Safety and Biological Respect

You'll gain an understanding of what really drives your athletes and how to support them to stay motivated over the course of a season. You'll learn how to approach tough conversations and how to deliver feedback effectively.

We'll conclude with how to help your athletes work with their own nervous systems and the steps to create an environment where they're empowered to fail and grow in practice so they can thrive in performance.

  • Week 8: Challenge Point and Feedback Loops

    Week 9: Team Values

You'll learn how to find the right balance of challenge and support for your athletes, and how to bring team values to life in a way that fosters accountability and a winning culture.

  • Week 10: Coaching From Being

    Week 11: Integration

Week 12: Closing and Coaching Philosophy

Nine weeks of reflection and skill building will have shown you some things worth examining. In these final weeks, you'll examine the underlying rules you've been operating from and how some of them are holding you back from coaching as yourself, with full presence, commitment, and the freedom to bring everything you have when the lights are the brightest.

Drawing from your values and character strengths, you'll develop a plan for unraveling those patterns and stepping more fully into the coach you've always known you could be.

Grounded in science. Shaped by experience. Tailored to you.

After this program your coaching philosophy won't be a document you wrote once and forgot about. It will be a promise to yourself, a commitment to your athletes, and a measuring stick you return to every off-season to keep getting better.

MOST COACHING PHILOSOPHIES SIT IN A DRAWER. YOURS WON’T

This is what coaches experience on the other side of the work.

  • Trust in your instincts and trust your athletes.

  • Sturdiness on the sideline, especially under pressure.

  • An environment that supports your athletes’ motivation.

  • The feel for when to push and when to hold back.

  • Athletes that are empowered to solve game problems in real time.

  • Freedom to be the coach you’ve always known you could be.

This is what it looks like to play a deeper game.

How it Works

The pilot cohort will be limited to 10 coaches. Small enough that everyone is seen, large enough that the group dynamic becomes part of the work itself.

  • Weekly Live Sessions Each week we meet as a group for 60-90 minutes. This is where the real work happens. We’ll process what's coming up and work with what the program is bringing forward, all as we build on the concepts from the week. Sessions will be recorded in case you have to miss a week.

  • Short Concept Videos Between Sessions Each week you'll receive a brief informal video introducing the concept we'll be working with. This will give us a running start each week, so we can go deeper instead of covering the basics.

  • Your Coaching Philosophy From Week 1, your coaching philosophy acts as the throughline of the program. It’s a living document that grows with you across twelve weeks. You'll present the evolved version to your cohort in the final session as a commitment to who you are as a coach and a statement of intent on how you plan to lead moving forward.

  • Individual Sessions One conversation at the start of the program to establish your personal arc and set the foundation for the work ahead. One at the end to integrate what's shifted and clarify what comes next.

Investment: $3500

Is This For You?

The Deeper Game of Coaching is for the coach who has a hunch that they can do everything right and still not get the results they’re looking for. Who takes ownership of their program and their athletes. Who is ready to infuse their words and their actions with the full force of their being.

This is not for coaches who are looking for a new playbook, a tactical edge, or someone to give them paint by numbers approaches to the rich and complex craft of coaching and leading.

It's for the coach who is ready to look honestly at what's been holding them back, and is willing to do something about it.

If that's you, the next step is a conversation.

A Note on the Pilot

This is the first cohort of The Deeper Game of Coaching. The program investment reflects that, and so does my commitment to everyone in the room. The pilot cohort will receive direct access, genuine attention, and the opportunity to leave their mark on future iterations of the program.

If this is resonating, don't wait. The cohort is limited to 10 coaches and conversations are already happening.
